Junior Florida Republican Party staffer had $1.3 million charged to party credit card

She was a 25-year-old junior staffer when the Florida Republican Party gave her an American Express card.

"Over the next 2½ years, nearly $1.3 million in charges wound up on Melanie Phister's AmEx — $40,000 at a London hotel, and nearly $20,000 in plane tickets for indicted former House Speaker Ray Sansom, his wife and kids, for starters. Statements show thousands spent on jewelry, sporting goods and in one case $15,000 for what's listed as a month-long stay at a posh Miami Beach hotel, but which the party says was a forfeited deposit.

The credit card records, obtained by the St. Petersburg Times and Miami Herald, offer the latest behind-the-scenes look at extravagant and free-wheeling spending by the party touting fiscal restraint. Not only did certain elite legislative leaders have their own party credit cards to spend donors' money with little oversight, but Phister's records show these leaders also liberally used an underling's card — without her knowledge, she says." Atheist to the World: Put the Pope on a Rope

Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, two of the world's most prominent atheist intellectuals, are seeking means to try the pope for crimes against humanity,

Last month Dawkins wrote a scathing article for the Washington Post in which he called the pope:
A leering old villain in a frock, who spent decades conspiring behind closed doors for the position he now holds; a man who believes he is infallible and acts the part; a man whose preaching of scientific falsehood is responsible for the deaths of countless AIDS victims in Africa; a man whose first instinct when his priests are caught with their pants down is to cover up the scandal and damn the young victims to silence.

Hitchens told the Sunday Times of London: "This man is not above or outside the law. The institutionalized concealment of child rape is a crime under any law and demands not private ceremonies of repentance or church-funded payoffs, but justice and punishment."

NEWSFLASH: theGOPisDEAD Endorses PALIN/BACHMANN-2012!

Okay, this is a side-note and funny observation. theGOPisDEAD happened to watch this little shin-dig the other night and noticed that FOX NEWS cut the lights down real low during the interview with the two nutbags. Now I know we are a little batshit crazy ourselves here, but it did strike us as a little funny.

LOL, bare with us. As the cameraman scanned the crowd, it looked like a nice mix of white folk, black folk, and other peoples of color. :) Now stay with us....ROFL...at times it actually appeared to be a culturally diverse representation. BUT!!! Upon a closer inspection of what we thought our eyes were seeing at this KLAN rally, was in fact an illusion created by the casting of shadows across a sea of white faces. We thinks...FAUX NEWS dimmed those fucking lights on purpose. But, you be the judge:

BEFORE OUR PRO PHOTOSHOP EXPERTS GOT A HOLD OF THE IMAGE

AND AFTER WE SHED THE LIGHT ON THE LOCAL KLAN MEMBERS

Well; it was a fun observation. Sphere: Related Content

Bob McDonnell Apology Not Accepted

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell apologized Wednesday for leaving out any reference to slavery in his recent proclamation designating April as Confederate History Month, calling it a "major omission."

"There were any number of aspects to that conflict between the states. Obviously, it involved slavery. It involved other issues. But I focused on the ones I thought were most significant for Virginia."

"The failure to include any reference to slavery was a mistake, and for that I apologize to any fellow Virginian who has been offended or disappointed," McDonnell said in a written statement.

When will white middle aged men in this country stop trying to bring honor to an American holocaust? It will probably happen the moment that racism ends in this country...FUCKING NEVER. They show obtuse contempt toward the descendants of slavery because they cannot forget. The irony of McDonnell forgetting to mention slavery in the same breath as the civil war is repugnantly hateful; detestable; loathsome: and an abominable slight to say the least. So they want America to see their freak southern flag fly with pride, yet want those who lost entire generations of family to pure evil to just fade away in their memory's past. To even warrant that request ought to come with consequences...like a good ol' house burning, or noose around the neck while dangling from a local oak tree on the courthouse lawn.

It's sort of like the Catholic church who is currently demonizing the media for uncovering insurmountable evidence that its clergy has been sexually abusing children for decades if not longer.

The disgusting outrage they display because of being caught is a mind-fuck indeed. But don't let these creeps fool you, because they know what they are doing. Manipulating the public psyche; like one of their rape victims, who they believe deserves it. They fucking rape the mind again, and again, and again, until the victim denotes regret for causing the abusers so much pain, "I'm sorry I made you rape me."

theGOPisDEAD would like to tell McDonnell to fuck off in person, but I'm sure we'll never get that chance, like the millions of people who shed blood for his short memory.

So we give a big FUCK YOU to McDonnell...and that's from the heart. Sphere: Related Content

Wrong number: GOP pitch lists phone-sex hotline

The best thing the Republican Party can say about this week is, it's nearly over.

First came news that the Republican National Committee paid $1,946 for a gathering at a sex-themed Hollywood club, which a group of young Republicans had visited without RNC approval. The money is to be paid back.

Now it turns out the RNC inadvertently listed a phone-sex number on a fund-raising letter sent to potential donors. People who tried to call the committee were instead offered "live, one-on-one talk with a nasty girl" for $2.99 a minute.

I know...right?! This shit sounds made up...even theGOPisDEAD couldn't have devised a better week for these fear mongering fucktards. But that's the thing about karma, [if you believe] it is a bitch. We're more of the what-comes-around-goes around-motherfucker type...and this week has been intoxicating watching the pejorative fallout as the family values party puts ten coats of paint on those white picket fences of theirs. No amount of latex in the world can cover up the rotting wood underneath. Sphere: Related Content

Beck Tells Christians That Giving to the Poor is Communist

WASHINGTON (ABP) -- Jim Wallis, a politically progressive evangelical and longtime advocate for the poor, said Christians should stop watching or listening to broadcaster Glenn Beck for remarks urging people to leave churches that preach "social justice."

The Fox News personality recently warned listeners on both his daily radio and television shows that the term used by many Christian churches to describe their efforts to address poverty and human rights is a "code word" for communism and Nazism.

I beg you, look for the words 'social justice' or 'economic justice' on your church website. If you find it, run as fast as you can," Beck said. "Social justice and economic justice, they are code words. Now, am I advising people to leave their church? Yes!"

Glenn Beck described "social justice" as a "code word" and "perversion of the gospel."

Beck responded on his March 11 radio show by mocking Wallis as a "leftist," "operative for the Democratic Party" and "dedicated foe of capitalism."

Even prominent conservative pundits are speaking out, denouncing his hysterics before he sinks the entire movement.

Conservatives Have Lost Andrew Sullivan

Why Andrew Sullivan cannot support the "Conservative" party:

I cannot support a movement that claims to believe in limited government but backed an unlimited domestic and foreign policy presidency that assumed illegal, extra-constitutional dictatorial powers until forced by the system to return to the rule of law.

I cannot support a movement that exploded spending and borrowing and blames its successor for the debt.

I cannot support a movement that so abandoned government's minimal and vital role to police markets and address natural disasters that it gave us Katrina and the financial meltdown of 2008.

I cannot support a movement that holds torture as a core value.

I cannot support a movement that holds that purely religious doctrine should govern civil political decisions and that uses the sacredness of religious faith for the pursuit of worldly power.

I cannot support a movement that is deeply homophobic, cynically deploys fear of homosexuals to win votes, and gives off such a racist vibe that its share of the minority vote remains pitiful.

I cannot support a movement which has no real respect for the institutions of government and is prepared to use any tactic and any means to fight political warfare rather than conduct a political conversation.

I cannot support a movement that sees permanent war as compatible with liberal democratic norms and limited government.

I cannot support a movement that criminalizes private behavior in the war on drugs.

I cannot support a movement that would back a vice-presidential candidate manifestly unqualified and duplicitous because of identity politics and electoral cynicism.

I cannot support a movement that regards gay people as threats to their own families.

I cannot support a movement that does not accept evolution as a fact.

I cannot support a movement that sees climate change as a hoax and offers domestic oil exploration as the core plank of an energy policy.

I cannot support a movement that refuses ever to raise taxes, while proposing no meaningful reductions in government spending.

I cannot support a movement that refuses to distance itself from a demagogue like Rush Limbaugh or a nutjob like Glenn Beck.

I cannot support a movement that believes that the United States should be the sole global power, should sustain a permanent war machine to police the entire planet, and sees violence as the core tool for international relations.

Does this make me a "radical leftist" as Michelle Malkin would say? Emphatically not. But it sure disqualifies me from the current American right.

To paraphrase Reagan, I didn't leave the conservative movement. It left me.

And increasingly, I'm not alone.

Andrew Sullivan

YEP, couldn't have said it better ourselves.

New Study Shows Palin Followers Are At Least Smart As Clams

Sure you can find an idiot in every bunch, and we at theGOPisDEAD are not biased enough (yeah right) to know that goes for both sides of the political spectrum. Hell we here at theGOPisDEAD aren't that friggin bright. But, you do have to admit the reptilian far right has a special breed of stupid which is highlighted in this here video.

They say, "ignorance is bliss," yet fail to mention that the rest of us suffer the consequences of unrelenting stupidity. The rest of us have to walk among these lizard like creatures, that are dumb as a pile of f*cking rocks. And with 300+ million Americans roaming the streets that's a lot of rock. A Palin book signing is like a rock quarry Fred Flintstone himself would be proud of. In fact: Barney Rubble actually makes an appearance in support of Palin's new book. He's also a Steelers fan...who knew?

Yep, one thing is for sure about Palin, that woman can draw out the celebrities! So who else decides to show up for the Palin book signing? None other than SHREK himself (see 18 secs in)! Which apparently - and we are pissed as hell that no one told us - got a sex change?

9/12 Project | The Last Front in the War on Poverty

theGOPisDEAD
sat back and watched the protesters descend on our nation's capitol this weekend, to protest against President Obama's agenda in the form of the 9/12 Project. We couldn't help but to contemplate the irony of the situation.

The whole effort has been touted as a grass roots movement, "of the people", they say. It's been reported by the likes of Glenn Beck, Limbaugh, and others that the protesters are regular everyday working class citizens standing up for their rights.

Which prompted us to recall a dramatic documentary film, The American Ruling Class (2007), written by Lewis H. Lapham and directed by John Kirby that "explores our country’s most taboo topic: class, power and privilege in our nominally democratic republic."[1] It seeks to answer the question, "Does America have a ruling class?" To which we wondered, of those individuals who protested a president trying to bring healthcare to a segment of the population in desperate need; were they part of a ruling class, and drowning out the voices of those whom it would benefit most? Are they the voices of Glenn Beck who had found his niche in the form of FEAR for profit? He is good, we'll give him that. He knows how to plug into the darkest, most sinister depths of a persons fear and rally them around his message. He will take a windfall profit of their hard earned $$$$ this year. He is a great success...a profiteer to the detriment of others.

So who were the protesters? Were they just angry citizens that earn a minimum wage and are purely against the ideology of the other side, because clearly they would benefit under a single payer system? Were they people that have plenty of everything? Healthcare? A nice home? A retirement? A trust fund? Who were they?

We scanned the sea of pale white faces, and drooping belt lines with belly fat lunging over like whale blubber, and saw a homogeneous collage of fearful, paranoid citizenry. Clearly not hungry. Clearly happy. Cleary not impoverished. What we saw had an unwavering constant flowing through the streets shouting esoteric chants that can only be mistaken as unreasonable, and full of blissful ignorance.

"To what end, the genius of the Wall Street banks and the force of the Pentagon's colossal weapons? Where does America discover the wisdom to play with its wonderful toys?" The possible answers move beyond the hollow category of party affiliation and into the heart of American Oligarchy itself.

Eye Patch Undies Gets My Vote

Update: (for the original post and video see here)

WTF is it about anti-gay, family values politicians like Duvall who insist on cheating on their wives or ending up in the back seat of a male hooker's car? California State Assemblyman Michael Duvall's story is the gift that keeps on giving to theGOPisDEAD. The story is growing into a huge mess of ethics violations, more cheating with a second mistress, sex for votes with said lobbyists, and destroying more families with one fell swoop than Spiderman on a web. Turns out both women he slept with are also married.

Not only does it flag all the obvious ethnics implications (Duvall is vice-chair of the Utilities and Commerce committee, and his alleged mistress is a lobbyist for Sempra Energy), but it just plain stamps him as yet another family values hypocrite. Hey Duvall...lesson No. 1 about audio equipment: Always assume your mic is on.

Even more of a gas, Duvall was awarded the "Ethics in America" award by a local university, for his "demonstration of the highest standards of ethical integrity" as a community leader with the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce.

You sir, are a f***ing weasel. We're not surprised though, that yet another 50+ white male conservative Republican, claims the family values ticket while boning some lobbyists for votes...it seems to be their Modus operandi.

More Hardcore Rhetoric: Faithful World Baptist Church Pastor Wants Obama Dead

Okay theGOPisDEAD brought this pastor's sermon (see Holy Hell 8/28/09) to your attention in a previous post. In this video we are able to get up close and personal with the pastor as he comes dangerously close to eluding to assassination...albeit by GOD.

As you recall he has the likes of extremist right-wing nut, Christopher Broughton, that brought an assault rifle to an Obama event in Phoenix last week in his congregation. With this kind of rhetoric in his sermons...can you predict the next headline?

This just in...

Pastor thought to be passing out cups of Gerin oil to followers inducing Christian Zombi Ziontoxicity Complex:

"Gerin oil or geriniol is a fictional drug concocted by Richard Dawkins.

The first article, Gerin Oil, was published in an American secular humanism publication, Free Inquiry, in December 2003. It was popularized in an article titled Opiate of the Masses. It describes a dangerous legal drug "Gerin Oil" or "Geriniol." Dawkins blames its effects as being responsible for historic acts of violence such as the September 11th attacks, massacres of native South Americans by conquistadors, and the Salem Witch Trials.

According to Dawkins, users are often introduced to the drug at social gatherings such as weddings and funerals. In small amounts it is considered harmless, although its usage may increase over time. Medium usage of "Gerin Oil" is said to cause a disconnect with reality where users expect private wishes expressed to come true, often accompanied by spasmodic muscular movement or contraction. In large doses it is said to cause aural or visual hallucinations. He also links its use to child mutilation, sexual prohibition, and the tendency to smile when convicted of mass murder."

Christopher Hitchens included Dawkins' essay in his compilation The Portable Atheist.

Again, we here at theGOPisDEAD will let his comments speak for themselves.

Wow. Wow. And f***ing WOW. This guy is dangerous. Sphere: Related Content

15 Point 14th Century Action Plan

theGOPisDEAD would like to bring your attention to a 93-page research paper written by a consummate reptile, Republican Bob McDonnell. In it he speaks about a Christian conservative worldview that criticizes "cohabitators, homosexuals and fornicators" and described working women and feminists "detrimental" to family values.

"The thesis was called "The Republican Party's Vision for the Family: The Compelling Issue of the Decade. It laid out very explicitly his vision for the role of government, as well as, his vision for a social agenda that should dominate governance, and it even went beyond just a personal political philosophy,"

"It had a 15-point action plan for how to implement that philosophy."

Meanwhile back at the farm the family values argument plays out as yet one more hypocritical montage after another. A heterogeneous mixture of f*** your way of life because my way is gonna get you into the pearly gates of heaven.

McDonnell's newly-discovered 1989 graduate thesis is quite a revelation that will most assuredly sink the GOP's 2012 bid for1600 Pennsylvania Ave. There is no shortage of wolf crying prophets in the GOP party. He is in good company with political martyrs like Palin striking the hot chord of damnation for all sinners/voters of 2012, which also coincides with other famous predictions for two-thousand and twelve's apocalypse now prophecy that foretells the end of the world...!!

It makes us wonder at theGOPisDEAD, just how far to use a pejorative term, that "bible thumpers" will go to aggressively push their Christian beliefs upon those of us who do not share them? Or a better question, just how long before people recognize this hateful pontification for what it truly is...tired ass dogmatic and inflexible ideology.

If all signs point to McDonnell's theory being propagated as the way to govern (G.W.B. take II), then run as fast as you can away from this crazy amalgamation of Fear and Prejudice (sequel to Fear & Loathing)! Oh yes we know your next observation reptile. "Well they (meaning we sinners, infidels, and despots) are assaulting Christians, family values, and Santa Claus so we're turn'n up the proverbial Jesus heat.

Most Republican bible thumpers which ironically seem to always intersect at the same creepy place as if all God fearing Christians come with the GOP brand and are concentrated in areas where the state is blood red with Amurican pride and rebel flags in cohabitation with yards upon yards of white sheets with holes cut in them. WTF? We digress...and run on.

Point is, dudes like McDonnell will give anything to have us believe it is bad to progress. It is bad to evolve. It is bad to be tolerant of others. It is bad to think critically. It is bad to empathize, understand, and intellectualize the differences between human beings. And most importantly, God hates some of his own creations.

Being all-knowing and all...wouldn't God have figured that s*** out before spinning the pottery wheel to make a new bowl or plate? We can see it now, God says, "DAMN it! I made another gay ass coffee mug!"

He wants us to believe that God only loves those who think the way he thinks. He wants us to believe in the power of a loving God that creates individuals like him that hate every other thing...not like him. We say, he can suck it. And by "It" we mean...he can suck it good...as the tabloids read, "McDonnell Caught With Tranny, Transgendered, Hermaphrodite, Mormon Hooker!" Hey, theGOPisDEAD can dream. ;)

If such a headline ever comes to pass...we won't say, I told you so. \M/ (heavy metal horns)

We love this guy!!! He is the gift that keeps giving to the Republican party. The more they spew this vomit...and ignorance towards others...the deeper in that cave they go until they disappear like the dinosaurs they denounce. Self-fulfilled prophecy.
